  1. Ah. I really liked this film. I think I have written something too.. here
It was a pleasure watching Emraan Hashmi in a role like this (and later Shanghai) The film did justice to all the characters. But somehow, I feel it is wrong to call it biographical cos Silk Smita’s life was much worse.. I realized that later though. Ethically, this film didnt do justice to silk smita’s real life but nonetheless, it was an amazing watch and Vidya Balan is soooo terrific mahn!

    • I didn’t really know that this was based on a real life person until much later. I used to write ‘reviews’ about everything in and around the movie itself, but limit myself to just talking about the experience of the film itself. That’s why I didn’t do any research or compare Vidya’s Silk to real life Silk.

I’ve always liked Emraan and felt he had to do better movies / roles. SHANGHAI is on my list.

      Thanks for the comment…!
